No Sew Bows – trim, lace and ribbon

Sometimes I browse through the trim isle at Joann and dream of what to make and how to incorporate trims into my projects. This has been a fun way to do that! Did you know you can buy inches of trim at Joann? You don’t have to buy a spool or even a yard! With a few inches of trim, you can make these pretty ladies. Sometimes the simplest bows end up being favorites at our house.

First up are these velvet ribbon bows. I love the look of velvet, but it’s not the easiest fabric to work with. Plus these are so dainty and lovely for a babe or big girl. Plus, we all know baby girl needs a million bows, so grab some velvet ribbon trim and give these a try.

Next up, I used some lace trim yardage that I bought at the LA Fabric District last month when I went. I’m obsessed with these little creamy bows, and I think they will go with everything. They are so simple, but they are some of my favorite bows for baby girl.

I literally use the old “bunny ears” method to tie these bad boys! Slap a little fray check on the ends, and call it good. I made a quick video to give you a visual of how I tie them, and also an idea of how freakin easy and fast these are. Now go make a million! I can’t wait to see them. Happy sewing, friends.
