I obviously had to include Poppy Jane for this matching loungewear set with Mood Designer Fabrics. This Bamboo French Terry is a dream to work with and to wear. The Pine color is so rich and beautiful, but you might have trouble picking a favorite color out of the 9 options. They are all so good!
At 270 GSM this fabric is a great weight for a lounge-set. I used to always struggle to guess which weight of fabric would be good for projects, but this Deer&doe blog post always reminds me! You’ll want to save that post, I reference it ALL THE TIME before I order anywhere online.

I’ve already worn this so many times, separate and together. Together it looks super casual, but each piece can be dressed up separate as well. This week I bought enough fabric to make this set 2 more times! Can’t stop, won’t stop!
The top is Hey June’s – Sheridan and the joggers are True Bias – Hudson Pants.

I’ve made the Sheridan Sweater 3 times and I love the all so much! It’s the perfect sweater top, don’t waste your time trying to find a better pattern. It’s gold! The crew neck is so good. This time I made a 14 graded to a 16 hip and cut the sleeve at the bell length (+3/4 inch) and add the normal cuff. Next time I’ll only add length to the bell line.

This was my first time making knit joggers with the Hudson pattern, and it didn’t go well. I guess in my head I’m 7 feet tall and 300 pounds, because I ignored all reason and made them 2-3 sizes to big! It’s a long story, but essentially I’m dumb. Measure yourself and make your size! haha end of story. I ended up taking several inches off once I had them constructed, but the waist and pockets don’t look perfect and that’s why. Next time will be better. Lessoned learned.

I couldn’t let any of this precious Bamboo French Terry go to waste, so I made this cute set of dresses for my cousin’s baby shower gift. I’ve learned something about myself… If I save my 1/2 yard scraps in a box, I forget about those scraps and don’t use them. So I started cutting out baby projects with extra fabric cuts, even if I don’t have time to sew them right that minute. If I do that, it’s way more likely that they’ll get sewn up later. That way I’m not adding any scraps to my stash, which is a good feeling when you have a big stash already. Yikes!

We will be rocking these lounge-sets all winter long!
